Opened in 1988, Sea World San Antonio is the largest of the three Sea World parks at 250 acres. The park features numerous ride attractions, animal exhibits and marine mammal shows. The park made history with the first hypercoaster in Texas when the Steel Eel, reaching speeds over 70 mph, opened in 2007. The park announced it’s first killer whale birth on November 26, 1988.

Sea World San Antonio opens seasonally at peak travel times throughout the year, including spring and summer. Hours and show schedules vary from day to day, so consult the daily schedule on the park’s website before arriving.

Numerous dining options are available at Sea World San Antonio, including quick service and cafeteria-style restaurants. Characters greet and mingle with guests in a full service breakfast experience like no other at the Sesame Street Breakfast. Dine with Shamu allows guests to enjoy a poolside view of the park’s incredible killer whales while trainers conduct training and play sessions and answer questions for guests.
